Okay, so Joie Studio's been at 40 fans on Facebook for like FOREVER. So to get our Facebook page going, I'm going to do a giveaway when we hit 50 fans on Facebook. And I will do a separate giveaway when we hit 50 followers on Twitter. Once we hit those benchmarks, I will pick a FB fan/Twitter follower at random to win Joie Studio's very first social networking giveaways. NSS Calendar Project

How awesome of an idea is this to collaboratively drive more traffic to booths? 12 paper companies each took a month for this fun calendar available only at the National Stationery Show! Go to PaperLoop's blog for more info! I guess I have a project for myself in New York this Sunday! This will give me a reason to stop by all of these awesome companies' booths.

Facey-spacing

Okay, I'll admit it. I spend most of the two minutes I have free a day on Facebook. There's that hulu.com commercial where the guy from that fireman show calls Facebook and MySpace "Facey-space," so now my friends and I refer to being on Facebook as "faceyspacing."

Anyhow, Joie Studio has had a page on Facebook for over a year now, and I haven't done anything with it. I was keeping up the MySpace page for awhile, but no one I know uses MySpace anymore, so I have no clue why I haven't been keeping up Joie Studio's Facebook page. Mostly because it's a lot of effort to blog and Faceyspace and actually, oh, I don't know, design things and letterpress them. And now that Baby Joie is in the picture, well, time is really at a premium.

But no more excuses! Joie Studio is on Facebook. I will use Facebook for Joie Studio. Joie Studio will be active on Facebook. Become a fan of Joie Studio on Facebook. I promise cool things for Faceyspace fans of Joie Studio. Like a contest for all of Joie Studio's Facebook fans to win a Luxe 2010 letterpress desk calendar. Yes, that's right. Word of mouth only gets you so far...

For the last year, Joie Studio has been operating almost exclusively on word of mouth advertising. We've had great support from some really rocking design blogs like hapa hale, Paper Crave, and Poppytalk, which has been great for business, and our clients have been so happy with us that we've gotten some really great referrals for new clients. But, you know, at some point, word of mouth can only go so far.

So Joie Studio is now listed on The Knot, The Wedding Channel, and Partyspot! I absolutely love how The Wedding Channel ad is set up especially as the LUXE letterpress logo is on top. I'm excited to join The Knot community, too! I know when I getting married, The Wedding Channel and The Knot were wonderful resources, and I'm excited that Joie Studio is a part of that!

Joie Studio on Facebook!

OK, so I'm still figuring out Facebook, but while I'm doing that, won't all of you online friends out there add yourselves as a fan of Joie Studio on Facebook? I'd be so glad if you could!

Joie Studio on Trunkt.org

Joie Studio is now on Trunkt.org! Trunkt is really cool, I like it a lot. Everything on there is phenomenal. It's a free but juried portfolio site featuring independent artists. If there are any artists out there that want to apply, please list "Joie Studio" as the company that referred you so I can get credit!

Anyone can make a "Wishlist" of items on Trunkt. Right now (through November 15), if you make a wishlist, you are entered to win $500 worth of Trunkt featured products. Go ahead and make yourself a Wishlist, and don't forget that Joie Studio's got a bunch of great products (hint hint, wink wink).

What's really cool is that the Warm Wishes card was put into a showcase, and the showcase is being featured on Trunkt's homepage! Go Trunkt!

Today on the Sampler Homepage!

The Sampler does little features on all of their contributors, and today they did one on Joie Studio. Yay! They featured the "Warm Wishes" holiday card, as well as one of our coasters.

Sampler Excitement!

So I checked on the Sampler today, and Joie Studio (and our card, picture from the Sampler website above) is listed! It's so exciting! We're on the November Contributor List and our "Warm Wishes" letterpress holiday card is in the November gallery.

In celebration, I've listed the "Warm Wishes" card in my Etsy shop. I'm selling them in sets of 5 for $12. There's only a couple sets left of this run! Give me an excuse to do another run of these beautiful cards!

200 Warm Wishes to the Sampler!

I just sent out 200 samples of my "Warm Wishes" holiday card to the Sampler this past week. It'll be included in the November Sampler, and I'm hoping that it generates interest in my holiday line of cards!

I was going to wait until the Sampler debuted them, but I can't wait to share! Here are some shots of the card, which will be available on Etsy in early November (you can always preorder them by emailing me):

I've heard good things about IndiePublic, so I decided to check it out. Check Joie Studio out on IndiePublic! I'm trying it out to see how it compares to the tried-and-true MySpace. I know a lot of people love Facebook, too, so I have to think about whether I want to keep up Joie Studio on three networking site.
